Please choose an option:

The GIpro GPAT gear indicator with ATRE function integrates two products in one unit - a gear position indicator coupled with an Advanced Timing Retard Eliminator.

Available only for specific models of Aprilia, Ducati, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Triumph that already have a built-in gear sensor (but no gear indicator).

Gear Indicator

The GIpro GPAT reads the gear position information directly from the bikes factory gear position sensor with no calculations or estimations, resulting in the fastest and most reliable indication possible.

  • Touch sensor configuration. All GIpro G2 gear indicators use a hidden touch sensor on the top of the screen to access the various options. No buttons to break, no wires for programming.
  • Automatic Brightness. The display detects the ambient light level and adjusts automatically. This can be manually controlled too.
  • Inverted Display. If you want to mount the display below a dashboard/with the cable orientated upwards, the digit display can be set as inverted.

ATRE: "Advanced Timing Retard Eliminator"

The bike's ECU may use different injection and timing maps based on the gear in use. Each map may have restrictions in the lower gears (1-2-3-4) but no restrictions in the higher gears (5-6).

The GPAT gear indicator is installed in-line with the factory gear sensor signal. This allows it to modify the signal before it reaches the ECU and so force the ECU to use the mapping you choose, for example always 5 or always 6 in all gears, to "remove" the restrictions.

Some bikes have a speed limit in 6th gear...but if the ECU never knows you are using 6th gear, there is no speed limit!!

"True" Gear ATRE Mode Gear value sent to ECU Recommended

1N23456 7 NNNNNNN GSX1400, ZX-10R
1N23456 8 1N23455 GSX1300R remove speed restriction
1N23456 9 1N23444 Cruisers remove top speed restriction

Each GPAT has a bike-specific harness which plugs directly into the gear sensor cable.
A separate connection to a switched 12v source is also required (such as the brake light supply cable).

There are supports available to mount the GIpro GPAT w/ATRE.

The GIpro GPAT is compatible with specific bikes that have a factory gear sensor, some of which are listed here (for search engines), however you must use the Healtech Product Advisor above to check if your bike is compatible with a GPAT or should use another type of GIpro.
