R&G Heat Shield

R&G Racing heatshield protects fragile components such as electrical wiring and paintwork from damage due to the extreme radiant heat that is generated by high-performance engines and exhausts up to 500°C. The universal sheets are extremely lightweight, are easily cut to size and feature an adhesive backing for easy installation on the inner fairing/body panels and other surfaces.

The heatshield is a composite construction of aluminium foil, silicon adhesive and glass-fibre cloth.

Outer aluminium foil of 20 µm which is thicker than competing products, for increased resistance/wear and tear.

The aluminium foil is joined to the fibreglass backing substrate using a high-temperature silicon adhesive, ensure flexibility and resistance to cracking and delaminating when manipulated.

The fibreglass backing substrate is impregnated with a black flame-retardant polyurethane (PU) coating to reduce fraying when the material is cut and provide a clean, professional-looking cut edge.
