Steering Damper Emulator SDE-02

The Steering Damper Emulator SDE-02 allows the removal/replacement of the factory steering damper without causing an ECU error code.

Why use the SDE?

It is common to replace the OEM steering damper with a better unit for racing. The ECU detects that the electrical characteristics have changed and so displays the "FI" error on the dash.
It is very important that this "false" error is supressed as otherwise it will mask any other fault that may occur subsequently.

What does the SD Eliminator do?

The SD Eliminator emulates the electrical characteristics of the original steering damper, so the ECU does not detect any change and so does not display the "FI" error.

The unit is extremely small (14x40mm) and lightweight (17g) and only needs to be plugged directly into the original steering damper connector, no cutting or soldering required: each of the SD units is designed for a specific range of bikes and comes ready with the correct connector to ensure a 100% "Plug & Play" installation.

Installation

1. Simply plug the SDE into the original damper connector and secure it with a couple of cable ties!
